It is my pleasure to welcome you introducing INTELEC2011 in beautiful and picturesque Amsterdam. When in 1995 the INTELEC© conference in The Hague was successfully concluded, the Dutch INTELEC95 foundation remained active. It supported other INTELEC© conferences and granted students awards.

When the opportunity came for a next conference in the Netherlands, Amsterdam was the natural choice and the team enthusiastically started the early preparations. INTELEC2011 will beheld in the Passengers Terminal Amsterdam on walking distance of the old city centre. INTELEC© has always highlighted the technical advances, innovation, and quality issues within our industry for communication energy systems and prepared forums to discuss controversial issues in our technology.

INTELEC2011 will again feature the latest technology and also take a look back at energy systems and their components. But INTELEC2011 will also introduce new topics relevant to a fast changing Telecom Industry.
